ZAHN Cai En Cup (Chai's Cup)
ZAHN Zein cup (Chai cup) is manufactured according to the relevant provisions of ASTM D4212-93 "Standard Test Method for Immersion Viscosity Cups" for paints and raw materials standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials, and combined with actual production.
This viscosity cup is used to test the viscosity of Newtonian or quasi Newtonian liquids.
Cup volume (ml) 44
Cup number 1# 2# 3# 4# 5#
Aperture (mm) Ø2 Ø2.74 Ø3.76 Ø4.26 Ø5.28
Measurement range (cst) 5~60 20~250 100~800 200~1200 400~1800
Flow completion time (seconds) 35~80 20~80 20~80 20~80 20~80
correction factor (0.95~1.05)25℃±0.2℃
Cup body material stainless steel
Weight (Kg) 0.14
Dimensions (mm) 380 × 70 × 80 (length × width × height)
No.1 cup: suitable for very dilute liquids
Second cup: thin oil, mixed paint, clear paint
No.3 cup: medium viscosity, mixed coating, clear varnish
Fourth cup: Thicker fluids and mixtures
No.5 cup: particularly viscous fluids and mixtures
Operation:
1. Before use, use a suitable solvent to wipe the cup clean and dry it (note: please pay special attention to cleaning the small holes in the cup);
2. Choose the appropriate cup size to control the outflow time between 20-80 seconds;
3. Adjust the temperature of the filtered sample and the outflow cup to (23 degrees plus or minus 0.5 degrees) or another agreed temperature;
4. Insert your fingers into the small ring on the handle and quickly and smoothly lift the cup vertically from the sample to be tested;
5. When the cup breaks away from the liquid level, be sure to keep the cup vertical when the liquid flows out, and at the same time, the distance from the liquid level should not exceed
Over 150mm;
When the first breakpoint occurs and the timing stops, the number of seconds that flow out at this time is the viscosity value of the sample to be tested;
7. Immediately clean it with a suitable solvent and never use a metal brush for cleaning;
8. After drying, store again.
